Even at a young age Carefree’s founder Lauren Wright was fascinated by travel and the discovery of distant cultures. Growing up watching programming such as the Discovery and Travel Channels, Lauren was able to experience the thrill of an adventurous journey. Having been firmly bitten by the “travel-bug”, travel soon filled birthday and Christmas wish-lists and a life fueled by an all-consuming wanderlust was born.

Her first opportunity to have an authentic international cultural experience arrived while she was still pursuing her education and chose to study abroad at the University of Petroleum in Qingdao, China. This immersion into a foreign culture truly solidified Lauren’s deep passion for exploring the vast cultural diversity the world has to offer.

Lauren’s exceptional attention to detail and a proactive, consultatory approach to customer care
were refined and elevated by her role as a Personal Style Advisor at Saks Fifth Avenue and later as part of the elite American Express Centurion team where her client-centric focus and exceptional eye for luxury rapidly earned her rave reviews while maintaining a portfolio of 200+ clients.
Lauren founded Carefree Travel & Lifestyle Concierge to bring her vision of anticipatory and stress-free travel design, event planning and lifestyle service consulting to her growing client base. While she still carries that childlike wonder and passion for the unknown and unfamiliar, she now fulfills those early dreams of traveling the world with a discerning eye for the refined, the authentic, and the value-added. Her journeys allow her to continuously vet exceptional resorts, unique spas, and authentic in-destination experiences to keep her in the know and to anticipate her clients’ diverse needs. Along the way, she cultivates connections with elite service providers with whom she collaborates to elevate her clients' bespoke experiences.

Lauren is newly married to her best friend and enthusiastic travel partner, Justin. When their beautiful destination wedding was cancelled due to the pandemic, she planned a romantic micro-wedding in Arizona which was featured in Martha Stewart. Their first official adventure as husband and wife was their 6-week honeymoon through Thailand, which included visiting Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Koh Samui and more!
